Pacific West College of Law was founded in 1993.

Currently, PACIFIC WEST COLLEGE OF LAW is registered as an Unaccredited Fixed-Facility Law School in California and has degree granting authority for the Juris Doctor degree (J.D) from the State of California Committee of Bar Examiners.

The Committee of Bar Examiners also acquiesce the existence of Law Latin Master in Taxation (L.L.M in Tax) and Law Latin Master in Environmental Law (L.L.M in Environmental Law) offered by Pacific West College of Law pursuant to Guideline 11.5 of the Guidelines for Unaccredited Law School Rules. These two LLM Degrees DO NOT lead to the practice of law in California and in any other jurisdiction.

The College currently shares facilities and other assets with South Coast College.
